Saint Seiya Densetsu
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
Summary. We only collect what is needed to sell the game and keep your license working: your email, your license code and an anonymous identifier of the computer where it is active. We do not sell data, show ads or use tracking. The Android app does not collect personal data. Your saves always stay on your device.
1. Who we are
Saint Seiya Densetsu is a fan-made game maintained by the Saint Seiya Densetsu team ("we"). This policy covers:
- the game's website and its purchase, "My license" and contact pages;
- the game for computers (Windows) and its launcher;
- the Android app distributed through Google Play.
Privacy contact: contato@saintseiyadensetsu.com.
2. Where the money goes
Every cent raised from sales is reinvested in the game itself: new sprites, maps and systems, the next sagas, versions for other platforms and the costs of keeping the game online. No part of it goes to the personal profit of team members.
3. Data we process
3.1 Purchase
Payment happens on Stripe's secure page. Your card details or the account used for Pix are given directly to Stripe and never reach us. From Stripe we receive: email, the name entered at checkout, country, amount, payment method and whether the payment was approved, refunded or disputed.
3.2 License and activation of the PC game
So that each license works on one computer at a time, we store:
- the license code, the buyer's email and the purchase date;
- a computer identifier derived from a Windows code and transformed irreversibly (hashed). It does not reveal who you are or give access to your computer;
- the computer name (e.g. "LIVING-ROOM-PC"), only so you can recognise it on the "My license" page;
- the installed game version and the dates of activation, renewal and PC release.
The launcher connects to our server when you activate the license, when it renews the activation (whenever you play online, for another 30 days offline) and to check for game updates.
3.3 "My license" page
Sign-in uses a link sent to your email, with no password. To keep you signed in we use one essential session cookie, valid for 7 days.
3.4 Contact
If you write to us through the website form or by email, we receive the name, email and message you send.
3.5 Technical data
As with any website, the hosting and download providers log technical access data such as IP address, date and time and browser type, to deliver pages and files and to protect the service against abuse.
3.6 On your computer or phone
Game saves, launcher preferences (language, sound) and the activation receipt stay
only on your device and are not sent to us. On PC, saves live in
%APPDATA%\SSDensetsu\Saves.
3.7 Android app
The Android app does not collect personal data: no sign-up, login, ads or tracking. On first launch it downloads the game files from a file-hosting service (CDN), which logs technical data such as the IP address to deliver them. The app only requests internet / network state permissions (to download the files) and vibration (haptic feedback in the game). Installation, updates and any in-phone purchases are processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your data.
- We do not show ads or use tracking or advertising tools.
- We do not build behaviour profiles.
- We do not send marketing emails — only purchase emails and sign-in links.
5. Purposes and legal bases
- Selling the game, issuing and maintaining the license, providing the download and support — performance of the purchase contract (LGPD art. 7 V; GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- Preventing license misuse and fraud (e.g. one license on many PCs) — legitimate interest (LGPD art. 7 IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- Keeping sales records — legal obligation (LGPD art. 7 II; GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).
- Answering contact messages — legitimate interest in helping whoever reaches out.
6. Who we share data with
We use third-party services that process data on our behalf, only for the purposes above:
- Stripe — payment processing (policy);
- Netlify — hosting of the website and the license server (policy);
- Resend — sending purchase emails and sign-in links (policy);
- Cloudflare — storage and delivery of the game files (policy);
- Google — website fonts (Google Fonts), trailer videos (YouTube) and Android app distribution (Google Play).
We may also disclose data when required by law or by order of a competent authority.
7. International transfers
These providers may store data on servers outside Brazil, mainly in the United States. They apply safeguards compatible with the LGPD and the GDPR.
8. How long we keep data
- License data: for as long as the license exists, so it keeps working and can be moved to another PC.
- Sales records: for the period required by law.
- Contact messages: up to 12 months after the request is handled.
- Technical access data: for the providers' retention period, usually a few days or weeks.
9. Cookies
The website only uses one essential cookie, created when you sign in to "My license", to keep your session. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The trailers are hosted on YouTube, which is only loaded when you click to watch; from then on the Google Privacy Policy applies.
10. Security
Connections to the website, the license server and the download use encryption (HTTPS). The activation receipt on your PC is protected by Windows itself and does not work if copied to another computer. No system is 100% secure, but we keep as little data as possible to reduce risk.
11. Your rights
Under the LGPD (and, where applicable, the GDPR, CCPA and other laws) you may request confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, deletion, portability, information about sharing, and objection. Write to contato@saintseiyadensetsu.com from the email used at purchase. We reply within 15 days.
If you ask us to delete your license data, the license stops working, since we can no longer confirm the purchase. Records the law requires us to keep are retained for the legal period. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD).
12. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13. Purchases by minors must be made with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game or the website changes. The date at the top shows the version in force. Important changes will be announced on the website.
14. Governing law
This policy is governed by Brazilian law, without prejudice to the rights granted by the data protection laws of your country.
